Rhythm Guide: Anz – OTMI001 | OTMI

Picked with care in this week’s Rhythm Guide we’ve got Anz’ latest EP on her newly-formed record label OTMI, or Otras Mitades. Following up on one of 2020’s favourites Loos in Twos (NRG) on Hessle Audio, OTMI001 is another work you’d hope for and expect from Anz. 

“The idea for the label is to find the other halves of loose tracks; their soulmates I guess! The first release is just me, but expect to see some friends, fam and co-conspirators on the label, across all flavours.” says the Manchester-based artist.

One the A-side Unravel In The Designated Zone you’ll find a club jam that lays down treacly purple G-funk leads and twanging boogie basslines on a Afrobeats-y street rave flair. Morphing Into Brighter on the B-side is a peak hour record soused in sweat and fog on a 2-stepping rhythm that’s clearly will win its spurs in warehouse raves.
